Most tattoo removal lasers operate on two wavelengths, which cover the majority of inks but leave stubborn colors undertreated. We use the Astanza Trinity — a triple-wavelength system with a dedicated 694nm ruby laser that targets the bright blues, turquoises, and greens other devices can't reach. Three wavelengths. What you should know before you start.
Most tattoos take somewhere between 6 and 12 sessions spaced roughly 6–8+ weeks apart — but every tattoo is different. Ink depth, density, colors, age, placement, and your skin all play a role. Fading for a cover-up usually needs fewer sessions than complete removal. Your consultation includes a session estimate built around your specific tattoo.
Most clients compare it to a hot rubber-band snap — uncomfortable, but fast. Sessions are short, and we use comfort measures like skin cooling to make treatment as tolerable as possible. We won't promise "painless," because honesty matters more to us than marketing.
When performed by trained laser specialists under physician medical direction, laser tattoo removal is a well-established procedure. Your consultation screens your skin type, health history, and tattoo before any treatment, so your plan is built around safety first.
Black and dark inks typically respond best. Some colors — certain greens, blues, and pastels — can take more sessions or respond only partially. We'll be straightforward at your consultation about what's realistic for your specific ink.
Modern protocols are designed to protect your skin, and most clients who follow aftercare don't scar. That said, no clinic can guarantee a scar-free outcome — skin type, tattoo history, and aftercare all matter. We'll assess your individual risk honestly at your consultation.
Often 10–30 minutes depending on tattoo size — many small tattoos take just a few minutes under the laser. Most of your visit is preparation, skin protection, and aftercare guidance.
